Twenty million people worldwide have played the free-to-play hero shooter Marvel Rivals.

This milestone was announced on social media yesterday. To celebrate, players who log in between December 20, 2024, and January 10, 2025, can claim a special spray to use in the game.

Marvel Rivals launched on December 6 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Within three days, the game reached ten million players, and that number has now doubled.

Players can look forward to the Winter Celebration update releasing this Friday, which includes a new mode called "Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival." In this mode, players control a land shark that spits colored snow. Two teams compete to cover the map in their team's color.

In this PvP shooter, two teams of six battle across iconic locations with various characters from the Marvel franchise. Using special Team-Up abilities, heroes can perform moves together—for example, Rocket Raccoon can ride on Groot’s back. Players can choose from a wide range of heroes and villains from groups like the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and more.
